Veronika Mesheriakova, M.D.
Dr. Veronika Mesheriakova is a physician specializing in adolescent medicine, addiction medicine, and behavioral health. She is board-certified in general pediatrics, adolescent medicine, and addiction medicine, and has extensive experience working with youth and families affected by substance use, eating disorders, and other mental health challenges.
Dr. Mesheriakova is the founder of the Northern California Adolescent Specialty Center, a practice dedicated to evidence-based, developmentally informed care for adolescents and young adults. Her work focuses on helping young people build resilience through compassionate, individualized treatment that integrates medical, psychological, and family-centered approaches.
Dr. Mesheriakova is drawn to mindfulness as a way of bringing greater presence, curiosity, and compassion into both clinical work and daily life. In her work with adolescents and families, she sees mindfulness as supporting the capacity to pause, notice one’s inner experience with kindness, and respond more intentionally rather than reactively. She values mindfulness practices that help young people reconnect with themselves, develop emotional resilience, and cultivate a sense of steadiness in the midst of challenge.
