Karin Cooke, AMFT

Change is the one constant in life, and whether you are wanting to make a change or are the recipient of welcome or unwelcome changes, finding support and connection can make all the difference in how you understand and respond.

I enjoy supporting people through life’s transitions, whether it is grief and loss, relationships beginning or ending, or new stages of life, including college students/graduates, new jobs/careers, new parents, empty nesters, and retirees. I use a trauma-informed, evidence-based approach to therapy, using acceptance and commitment therapy, cognitive behavior therapy, and dialectical behavior therapy while also integrating an attachment and emotion-focused lens. I have experience working with adolescents, adults, and families. I match my approach to your needs and work to integrate your strengths into navigating towards a more hopeful present and future.

In addition to a master’s in counseling from the Kaiser Permanente School of Allied Health Sciences, I bring more than 15 years’ experience as a healthcare professional focused on strategy, innovation, and empowering people and organizations to grow and change.
