No doubt you have heard about psychedelic-assisted therapy as it has been gaining popularity in the recent past. I will give an overview on the only federally legal psychedelic, ketamine, including its different uses, and how it can be used within the therapeutic container. It can be helpful for depression, anxiety, trauma including CPTSD, OCD, and other issues. Spirituality often arises for clients during the process as we are working with non-ordinary states of consciousness. I will also touch on the shadow side of this work, ethics and cultural considerations. Having shifted the focus of my practice to this work over the last five years, I will share some case stories that have touched me, including times when KAP (ketamine-assisted psychotherapy) has been extremely effective, and cases where it has not, as I have learned along the way. There will be time for questions at the end. I’m looking forward to being with you all!
